Black and Blue, 2014
Muirhouse, Craigmillar, pilton and Greendykes, the complex yet invisible side of Edinburgh, characterised by low-rise flats, social housing projects and ominous tower blocks. Many neighbourhoods have been flattened since the late 1990s, like brown field sites the land awaits to be absorbed by the most prosperous residents of the city. These blue hour portraits examine the schizophrenic duality of Edinburgh, a city with a staggering social and economic divide.
